Simy Nwankwo and Joel Obi both featured for Salernitana 1919 in their 1-1 draw with Cagliari in an Italian Serie A game on Friday.
Joel Obi was given the nod to start the game, while Simy retained his place on the bench among the substitutes.
Joel Obi lasted for 84 minutes before being replaced by the coach, who also introduced Simy Nwankwo in the 79th minute.
However, Simy was unlucky not to find the back of the net a few minutes after coming on as his only real effort narrowly went wide.
The lanky attacker who scored 20 league goals for Crotone last season has now failed to score in his last six straight league games and has just one goal in 13 games played.
He last scored on October 21 when he got his side’s only goal in their 2-1 away loss to Spezia.
Leonardo Pavoletti opened the scoring for the hosts in the 73rd minute, but Federico Bonazolli equalized for Salernitana with the last kick of the game.
