South African Players and Baxter MOCK Nigeria in Dressing Room Celebrations

Victory against a perennial foe is one to savor and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana will make a point to ensure Nigerians don’t forget that.

After Stuart Baxter’s second triumph over the Nigeria; the more memorable one coming in the 2-0 victory in Saturday’s 2019 Afcon qualifier, he joined his players in a dressing room victory song chanting.

South Africa made light work of Nigeria, breaking an eight match unbeaten streak – in competitive fixtures – with a fine display at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

While a player, Thamsanqa Gabuza led a Swahili monotonic chant, Baxter cut in with a “Hey listen, Super Eagles ma baai” ( whatever that meant) to which the room burst into a fit of laughter.

Bafana Bafana’s official twitter handle tweeted videos of the dress room celebrations.

“Bafana Bafana celebrating the win in Uyo’s Akwa Ibom dressing room. Gabuza and coach Stuart Baxter lead the singing,” the tweet read.

The victory means Bafana take second spot in Group E after matchday one of the qualifiers, tied on points with Libya who have a superior goal difference.
