Stoke Manager won’t blame Etebo for errors in Preston defeat

Stoke City Manager Nathan Jones has exonerated Peter Etebo of any blame from the team’s 3-1 defeat to Preston on Wednesday.

Etebo who was a second-half substitute played a missed time pass, which lead to Stoke’s third goal.

The visitors also conceded two first-half goals from errors made by the Stoke City defense.

In defence of his players, The Potters’ Boss said “It’s not just one individual which is costing us.”

Stoke have only won two of their last 22 league matches but Jones believes there’s enough quality in the squad to weather the storm.

“It’s not about individual errors. Collectively, we have to be better. A lot has been made out of certain errors especially with our big players.

“It’s not just one individual which is costing us. We’ve got good players here and we have to take responsibility as a group to be better.”
