Super Eagles move up, while Argentina, Iceland and Croatia drop in Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria moved up five spots in the latest FIFA ranking, the only team in Group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup to make any progress in the April ranking.

The three-time African champions moved up from 52nd to 47, climbing five spots in the world and just a spot from seven in Africa.

Last month the Super Eagles played two international friendly matches – as did their world cup opponents – and the Gernot Rohr’s men managed to win against Poland, but lost to Serbia.

Argentina who are the seeded team in Group D, dropped a spot from fifth while Croatia slumped three places.

The Blazers are currently ranked 18th and dropped from 15th. For world cup newcomers, Iceland, they were knocked off 18th position to 22nd.
