CHAN 2018: Eagles Goalkeeper begs Nigerians for prayers and support following Rwanda draw

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye is begging for prayers and support of Nigerians following Eagles’ stalemate against Rwanda in the Group opening match.

In an exclusive telephone interview with brila FM, Ajiboye described the game as a very unlucky one for the home-based Eagles.

“The game was not a bad game, the guys played their best, we were only unlucky,” Ajiboye told brila.

“We created a lot of chances, we even had efforts that hit the crossbar on like four occasions”, Luck was not just on our side”, Ajiboye stated categorically.

While commenting on the state of the Camp presently, the Plateau United goalkeeper didn’t sound too excited but he affirmed that the next game on Friday will be okay.

“By God’s grace everything will work in our favour against Libya on Friday”, we will start working to correct all our mistakes this afternoon, and hopefully we get lucky on Friday.

The NPFL Champion also downplayed the effect of the cold weather in Morocco, saying it has nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

“The weather is just a normal thing, there’s no problem about that and the NFF had also provided us with everything required to face such situation, I am indeed grateful to the NFF for that,” says Ajiboye.

The former U-17 World Champion who was an unused substitute in the encounter against Rwanda also used the interviewing medium to seek prayers and Support of Nigerians.

“Right now, we need prayers and the support from home and abroad in order to make our Nation proud and by God’s grace, we are going for Victory on Friday,” says Ajiboye.
