Captain and goalkeeper of NPFL and CAF Confederation cup campaigner Niger Tornadoes Mustapha Aliko has declared his side’s readiness to commence continental challenge ahead of this weekend’s CAF Confederation cup 1st round qualifying tie against Santoba Conakry of Guinea.
Aliko speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team is ready a d fully aware that this time they are playing for not just themselves but Nigeria and will try as much as possible to win their first game at home to take a healthy lead into the second leg away from home.
“We’re set for the continental match, because we have to make Nigerians happy and not just ourselves because Nigerians are crazy about football there, is so much love for football. We want them to be happy by winning that game.
By the grace of God we will make them happy. We will do our best to make sure we win our home game.”
Tornadoes will host the game at the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna as their adopted home ground.
