Up Super Eagles! Victor Moses scores Winner against Poland

Victor Moses won a penalty and duly converted it himself to hand Nigeria a 1-0 win against Poland in Friday’s international friendly at the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw.

The forward surged into the Poland goal area but was tripped inside the box by his marker and Referee Michael Oliver was left with no choice but to point to the spot.

It may have seem a little harsh on the Polish defence, but that mattered little to the Nigerian player as he left the goalkeeper rooted with a brilliantly taken kick.

The game was even in many aspects, although the hosts looked sharper in attack.

However, the Nigerian defence showed discipline and repelled everything The Eagles threw at them; keeping Robert Lewandowski quite for the most until he was subbed off.

Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr handed full debuts to Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and defender Brian Idowu.

The German tactician had reiterated the need to give the new players of the team more game time and exposure.

Nigeria will continue their preparation for the world cup with another friendly on 27 March against Serbia in London.
