UWCL Final: Oshoala scores consolation in Barcelona’s 4-1 defeat to Lyon

Asisat Oshoala scored the consolation for Barcelona in the 4-1 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais Féminin in the final of the UWCL on Sunday in Budapest.

A sign of what to come for the Nigerian forward at the FIFA Women’s World Cup next month, maybe, but on the day, she came off the bench in the 75th minute with Barcelona outclassed, outplayed and out-scored.

It was her third appearance in the competition for FCB, and her first goal – Barcelona’s first ever goal in the final as well.

Lyon won their fourth consecutive title, and extended their record to six UWCL titles.
