Wasiu Alalade expresses delight after scoring Enyimba’s winning goal vs CARA Brazzaville

Enyimba International striker Wasiu Alalade has expressed delight after notching the lone goal that qualifies the People’s Elephant into the Quarterfinals.

Enyimba have not won any continental trophy since they took the more prestigious CAF Champions League back to back in 2003 and 2004.

The striker told brila.net’s Yinka Oyedele after the encounter that he is really happy to have scored after all the efforts from all the players.

Alalade further stressed that Enyimba’s target now is getting to the finals and possibly winning the competition.

Enyimba dominated the game in the second half, but the strikers failed to get the much sought after the break through until the 94th minute when Alalade sent the fans singing with his golden strike.

The victory took Enyimba to the top of Group C and passage to the quarterfinals, where they were joined by CARA Brazzaville, who qualified due to Williamsville’s goalless draw with Djoliba in Abidjan.
