Watford’s promotion hope excites Troost-Ekong

Super Eagles William Troost-Ekong was on parade for Watford in Skybet Championship win over Cardiff City on Saturday.

The Super Eagles Vice-captain featured for the entire duration of the match that saw Watford ran away with a 1-2 victory.

Watford fell behind in the 14th minute after Ekong’s partner Francisco Sierralta diverted a ball into his own net.

The Hornets however rallied back and scored an equalizer immediately through former Chelsea player Nathaniel Chalobah.

Adam Masina sealed the win with a fantastic finish for the visitors in the 90th minutes.

The victory was a massive boost for Watford’s promotion hope back to the premiership next season.

After the game, Elon took to his social media handle to celebrate the success, he wrote: “A picture is worth a thousand words!  What a team! 3 massive points! We move!”.

The three points move Watford to second on the table, level on point with Swansea City, but the Hornets could slip to third should Swansea beat Bournemouth later today.
