Akwa United Coach Boboye says he is optimistic about their chances of getting good results against CR Belouizdad this Sunday.
Boboye will lead Akwa United out for the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie against the Algerian Champions in Algiers.
Akwa United won the first leg 1-0 in Uyo, thanks to a late strike from Captain Friday Ubong and they need to avoid defeat in Algiers to move to the next round of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the game, Boboye said, he now have the idea of how the Algerians play and he’s going to do everything possible to exploit their weaknesses.
“Before the first leg in Uyo, we didn’t have a good idea of how they (CR Belouizdad) play, but after that game, we now have a fair knowledge of our opponents and we are going to approach it differently.”
“I have observed that we are playing different patterns of football and we have to adopt a good tactical formation that will be good enough for us to express ourselves and get a favourable result.
“We are fully aware of the importance of this game, and I have talked with my players on what is expected of us. For us to make it to the next round, we have to go all out for victory on Sunday, although a draw will still be good enough.” Boboye said.
