We will respect the Tunisians – Eguaveon

Coach Austine Eguaveon says the Super Eagles will respect their next opponents Tunisia, because they deserve to qualify for the round of 16.

The Tunisians will face the Super Eagles in the knock out phase after third finishing third behind Malawi and Mali in the standing.

The match is scheduled for this Sunday at the Ominisports Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua and the winner will advance to the quarter final of the competition.

“We topped our group with maximum points, but this is a totally different story, and the players and technical staff know this well,”the former defender told the media.

“We are not done with what we had in the group. We will work together for the coming steps. We plan to go as far as possible.

“Tunisia deserved to qualify, and we respect each other. We both have the same target which is to win and qualify. We will continue to work in the same way.” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Tunisia will miss at least seven players for the game as they are currently battling with Covid-19 in their camp.
