What Crisis!! MFM FC Produce Stunning Second-half Response to end Pillars’ 13-game unbeaten Run

MFM FC were engulfed in a mild managerial crisis over the past week after media reported the club was considering booting out head Coach Tope Bolus, but the dust settled as quickly as it started and the team’s performance at home against Kano Pillars showed the team is more united than ever.

After Enyimba visited and picked up their first ever victory in the league against MFM FC in Agege, the players knew they needed a big response to lift the spirit of the very vocal and boisterous home crowd.

 

However, things didn’t get off any easier than they would have hoped, playing host to a Kano Pillars that have not lost a game in the last 13 outings.

Adewole Adeniji’s goal (52′), a brace from Clement Ogwu (68′, 81′), respectively, saw them dominate the second half of proceedings, stunning their more illustrious opponents.

 

It was the biggest win MFM FC have ever recorded over Pillars in all previous meetings in the NPFL and victory on matchday 19 saw them climb back to the top half of the table.
