Wilfred Ndidi wins Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year award.

Super Eagles midfielder enforcer Wilfred Ndidi, has won Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year award.

Ndidi, 20 beat Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray to the award, after scoring two English Premier League goals in 15 appearances.

“It’s so great to be rated alongside Demarai Gray and Chiwell,” The midfielder, whose goal against Stoke City was also nominated for the goal of the season award, told Leicester City TV.

“I believe if they had enough chances to play probably they would have won the award.”

Since joining the Club in January from Genk, Wilfred Ndidi has earned plenty of plaudits for his all-action displays and it was no surprise when he was named Young Player of the Season.
At the age of just 20, the Nigeria international has built a solid partnership with Danny Drinkwater in the centre of midfield and has adapted brilliantly to the rigours of the Premier League during his first season in England.

Watch him speak to reporters after the ceremony.
