World Cup ticket more important for Flying Eagles, says Dosu Joseph

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and ex-international, Dosu Joseph may be disappointed that the Flying Eagles of Nigeria were knocked out by Mali in yesterday’s semi-final of the AYC U20 championship in the Niger Republic, but he remains excited the team were able to get a world cup ticket.

Speaking in a chat with www.brila.net, he called on the coaching crew of the team, led by coach Paul Aigbogun, to come back home and correct the mistakes made in Niger.
“I think the boys have done well. It was all about qualifying for the world cup which they have done. If they had won the championship, it would have been better.
“I’m sure the coaches will come back home and work on areas they made mistakes and adjust from there but the most important thing is that they have qualified for Poland, he concluded.
Nigeria will join Senegal, Mali and South Africa at the FIFA U20 world cup to be staged in Poland which starts in the month of May.
