2015 AfroBasket Champion Shane Lawal Retires

2015 AfroBasket champion Olaseni Lawal has announced his retirement from Basketball on Saturday, bringing an end to a 10-year career.

Lawal helped Nigeria clinch its first ever African championship four years ago with a top performance averaging 19.6 efficiency, and 9.0 rebounds per game.

 

H/T Bball Naija, the 32 year-old said, “I am announcing my retirement. These past 10yrs have had ups &downs,from titles to surgeries.

 

“Much love to all my teammates,staff&fans. I am happy to announce that I am the new head coach for Girls Varsity Basketball Team at Detroit Renaissance High School.”

The Former Center also represented Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
