Former bronze 100 meter Olympic medalist Uchenna Emedolu has stated that preparations should start immediately if Nigeria wants to leverage the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on the momentum of the victory from the recently concluded All African Games in Morocco.
Emedolu in an exclusive chat with brila.net said that the federations need to start preparing already and work to get sponsors for those athletes in order to enhance their performances.
”We have to start preparing now and get sponsors for those athletes before the competition gets too close, so that, they would put all they have in training and also have focus, ” Emedolu told brila.net.
“If we can start preparations early and have that encouragement, I belief we can start getting medals.”
