The Ghanaian technical crew under Chris Hughton has opted to invite the experienced right-back Denis Odoi for the World Cup playoff encounters in Kumasi and Abuja.
The Belgium-based defender has not featured for the Black and he is among three new faces included in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against Nigeria.
Odoi who is 33-year-old was born in Belgium and he played for the Belgian U20 and U23 sides in the past.
He made one appearance for the senior Red Devils in 2012, against Montenegro, but failed to establish himself in the team.
He later dumped Belgium for Ghana and completed his switch in 2020.
Odoi is expected to arrive in camp on Tuesday as Black Stars step up preparations for the crucial tie.
The Black Stars began preparations on Monday. Seven players reported for first training at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They will travel to Kumasi on Tuesday to continue their preparations at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the venue for the first leg which is slated for Friday, March 25, 2022.
The return leg will be played four days later in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
