The Pitch of  Ikom Township Stadium home ground of UNICEM Rovers of Calabar in the Southern Conference of the Bet9ja Nigeria National League ,has been certified unsuitable to host further matches in the current 2016-2017 season.

This is following the very poor state of the playing surface and inaction on the part of UNICEM Rovers management and the State Football Association to carry out needed repairs as directed by the NNL.

The League board is also worried with difficulty on the side of the State Football Association in providing adequate and effective security as is mandatory in the League rule book.

Consequently, the League management has gone ahead to approve the UJ.Esuene Stadium in the State’s capital city of Calabar to host the rest of home matches for UNICEM Rovers.

And in a related development the NNL Secretariat has stated that the botched match day 14 between UNICEM Rovers and Osun United is already been attended to and decision on the matter will be made public soon.
