Shehu Abdullahi scored his fourth league goal of the campaign as Bursaspor picked up a road win against Balikesirspor on Tuesday in the Turkish first division.
Abdullahi scored on the hour mark with his side leading 2-0 against the mid table side. Balikesirspor would eventually pull one back but it meant little as the Green Crocodile snapped their four-match winless run.

Tuesday’s victory moved the Bursa club side to within a point of second placed Erzurum BB and a promotion spot to the Super Lig.
The Nigerian side back played all 90 minutes in Bursaspor midfield as he continues his impressive form for the promotion chasing club this term.
He has made 25 league appearances and scored four goals, his best league goals return since moving abroad in 2014.
In spite of his goalscoring form, Abdullahi remains second among Nigeria’s top scoring defenders.
West Brom’s Semi Ajayi, who has also played in midfield positions on a few occasions this season has netted 5 league goals, and is just two short of his career high.
