Abel Ogwuche wins MOTM, Nigeria pips Uganda to World Cup ticket

Nigeria’s U20 MNT, Flying Eagles, have qualified for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup after beating Uganda 1-0 in a quarter-final match at the ongoing CAF U20 African Cup of Nations.

The Flying Eagles are also through to the semi-final of the tournament in Egypt.

An own goal from Ugandan defender in the first half gave Nigeria the win over the COSAFA representatives.

Meanwhile defender Abel Ogwuche was awarded the man of the match award after the game.
