Abia Warriors saved my career – Sunday Adetunji

New Plateau United striker Sunday Adetunji has paid tribute to his former club Abia Warriors for helping him through the difficult time.

 

Adetunji who is regarded as one of the strikers in the Nigeria Professional Football league enjoyed a successful spell with before his departure.

 

The striker almost rejoined the club last month after ending his adventure in the Czech Republic, but he opted to sign for CAF Champions League campaigners, Plateau United after talks broke with the management of Anambra Warlords.

 

Despite not signing for the club for the second time, Adetunji expressed his gratitude to the club for how he was treated during his time with them.

 

“Thanks, Abia Warriors for the amazing working relationship. When I had my injury, terrible to say, thought it was all over for my football career, Abia Warriors management stood for me & took care of me. It was a great honor to play for this club. God bless Emeka Inyama.” Adetunji said.

 

He concluded that Abia Warriors will remain in his heart only for good reasons.
