Abia’s 10th goal of the season sinks Adamawa United

Rangers international of Aba produced a decent performance to beat Adamawa United in one of the match day 22 of the Nigerian professional football league.

The Flying Antelopes secured the all important three points in the front of their home fans on Sunday.


After a slow start into the game,  Isaac Loute scored the opening goal of the encounter against a runner of play from a perfect executed freekick.


The Salisu Yusuf men however survived little scare as Adamawa piled up their game in search for an equaliser.


Rangers however put the game beyond the visitor after star striker Israel Abia doubled their lead from the penalty spot in the 61st minutes.


Abia has now scored ten goal in the league this season, he netted seven for Sunshine stars before moving to Rangers on loan where he has now scored three.


Abia who returned to the squad after he was left of the team in their trip to his former side and has now scored in two consecutive games.


Rangers are currently 14th on the log and are gradually moving away from drop zone.
