Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori were on the losing side as the Three Lions lost to the Czech Republic 2-1 in their Euro 2020 qualifying Group A clash at the Sinobo Stadium in Prague last night.

England started the game with Michael Keane partnering Harry Maguire in central defense meaning there is no place for Tomori in the starting line up.

His Chelsea teammate, Abraham started from the bench as Harry Kane, England’s first-choice striker and goalscorer in the game was given the nod to start up front ahead of the Chelsea in-form striker.

However, Tammy Abraham was introduced into the fray in the 88 minutes to replace Declan Rice. Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori was an used substitute.

The two Chelsea youngsters who have been in solid form for the Blues this season, recently turned down the opportunity to represent Nigeria as they switch their international allegiances to England.

However, England’s 2-1 loss to the Czech Republic in their Group A clash meant they will be losing their first qualifying match in a decade.

While the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be aiming to prepare for the next 2021 AFCON qualifiers as they play five-time world champions, Brazil in an international friendly on Sunday in Singapore National Stadium by 1 pm.
