The management of ABS FC have handed Coach Henry Makinwa a 3-match ultimatum to win or get the boot.
ABS FC suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to fellow strugglers, Sunshine Stars in Ilorin on Sunday and the loss edged them closer to the relegation battle.
Henry Makinwa’s men have only managed a win in their last five league matches.
The club issued a statement after the game, signed by the club’s Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, declaring Makinwa’s performance as worrisome.
In the release, Chukwuemeka stated that the management took the decision after a meeting to review the 2-4 loss to Sunshine Stars, adding ‘we won’t accept poor performances from the technical crew anymore.’
Expressing concerns with the club’s current position on the table; a point above the relegation zone, the club Director described the situation as worrisome.
‘The ABS FC management thus demanded that the technical crew start its rejuvenation from the Rivers United game on Sunday in Ilorin.’
Meanwhile, brila.net understands that the club’s hierarchy has scheduled a meeting with the players, supporters and the technical crew on Monday “to discuss the way forward.”
