Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo says his target is to play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, either with Nigeria or England.
Adarabioyo who is eligible to play for England or Nigeria was born in England to an English mother and Nigerian father 22 years ago.
The player has played for England from the Under 16 to the Under 19 level and reports claimed her waiting for his clearance from FIFA to complete his switch of allegiance to Nigeria.
While speaking to the UK tabloid, The Sun on his plans for the future, Adarabioyo said he’s only thinking of playing at the next world cup with either Nigeria or England.
“The Euro is next summer and the World Cup is a year after, I’m eligible to play for England or Nigeria.”
“I believe I should be going to the next World Cup either with England or Nigeria, that’s my target,” he said.
Adarabioyo who is currently on loan at English Championship side Blackburn Rovers also targets winning the premier league and the UEFA Champions League with Manchester City.
