Adarabioyo’s own goal costs Fulham against Spurs

Tosin Adarabioyo’s own goal proved costly for Fulham as they suffered a 1 – 0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs at the Craven Cottage on Thursday.

Adarabioyo diverted Dele Alli’s cheeky flicks into the back of his net in the 19th minute following a low cross from Son Heung-min.

Maja thought he had equaliser for Fulham in the 62nd minute when he fired past Hugo Lloris, but the goal was ruled as handball by the VAR after Davinson Sanchez’s initially clearance hit Maria Lemina’s hand.

Fulham were lucky to be in the game, thanks to saves from Alfonso Areola who denied Harry Kane late on.

Meanwhile the duo of Ola Aina and Ademola Lookman also featured for the hosts.

The defeat is a blow to Fulham’s relegation fight and they remain in the drop zone in 18th on 23 points.
