Adejo says national team invitation should be ability based and not age

Lamia of Greece and Nigerian defender Daniel Adejo has stated that the invitation of players by national team handlers for national team engagements should be based on the ability and not on the age of players.

Adejo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said in a review of the Greek Super league after completing a highly productive campaign where he featured in 31 of the 33 league games played by his club and also scored one league goal.
The 30-year-old defender added that been a regular and earning the trust of his coach at club level to have played that much should ordinarily put him on the radar of national team handlers not minding his age.
“Most especially by the ability because it’s true you have to give the youths the possibility to play but if you have an experienced player with good quality that can help the team why not. I don’t tell you to invite all the old players but youths and experience combined to make the team good because you have the experience that can tell the youths what to do, you know the road to follow. I believe the mix will be perfect. “
