Adetunji nets on his UEFA Champions League debut

Sunday Adetunji was on target for FK Shkupi in their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round match against Lincoln Red Imps on Tuesday.

The game ended 3-0 in the favor of Shkupi and Adetunji, who is making his debut in the European elite club competition, netted his side’s second goal.

Senegalese forward Mamadou Danfa scored the first goal in the 11th minute.

Before Algerian winger Walid Hamidi set up the Nigerian striker in the 28th minute.

Scott Wiseman’s own goal two minutes after hour mark sealed the important win for Shkupi.

Adetunji, a former Enyimba and Rivers United forward, played the entire duration of the first-leg encounter.

He netted 20 goals and 6 assists to help KF Shkupi clinch the title in Macedonia’s First Football League last season.

The Macedonian Champions will be aiming to protect their advantage when they travel to Gibraltar for the second leg next week.
