Adewale rues Akwa united’s CAF Champions League exit

Akwa united goalkeeper Adeyinka Adewale has rued his side’s premature exit at the ongoing CAF Champions League.

The Boboye- led side lost 2-0 in Algeria to CR Belouizdad in the second leg of the preliminary round of Africa’s Premier club competition to exit 2-1 on aggregate having won the first leg a week ago by a lone goal.

Adewale who was in goal for the Promise Keepers told brila.net that it was indeed a very disappointing night for the team who had believed they would be able to get the much needed result to qualify to the first round of the competition only to fall short in the final 20 minutes of play after holding their own for so long in the game.
