AFCON: Omeruo and Awaziem doubtful for Super Eagles clash against Sudan

Defenders Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo are doubtful for Super Eagles game against Sudan.

Coach Austin Eguavoen confirmed that the duo are struggling with injuries and would be accessed by the medical team.

Omeruo started the Afcon opener against Egypt, but was substituted in the second half and replaced by Semi Ajayi, due to the injury.

Awaziem on his part, missed the entirety of the game and could be out for the second successive game running.

In a chat with brila.net, Eguaveon said Omeruo is will assessed by the medics, but nothing was said, regarding Awaziem.

“Chidozie Awaziem had a little strain, while Kenneth Omeruo had groin injury. We will access Omeruo to know the extent of the injury.” Eguaveon told brila.net.
