Afelokhai says proposed duration of league resumption will not work

Enyimba shot-stopper Theophilus Afelokhai has stated that he doesn’t see how feasible the proposed plan to have the league end within 6-8 weeks of restart will work after stressing the need for the league organizers to note that there are still five outstanding matches involving Enyimba alone and some involving other clubs.

Afelokhai speaking in a chat with brila.net said the plan to rush matches within that period is near impossible and as such fully knows that more time will be required to execute the resolution to have the league return and end appropriately with an end to the league via action on the field to end the season.
“Those that believe they will rush matches within that time, they know that we have outstanding matches five of them. And rushing Enyimba to play those matches definitely will affect us and there will be fatigue, players will be tired. They will look into it again, they just said it. They will look into it again. I don’t see how that will happen.”
