Assistant coach of Nigeria’s Basketball national team D’Tigers Odaudu Ogoh has stated that qualifying for the 2021 Africa’s flagship basketball tournament Afrobasket won’t be a headache for Nigeria.
He made the statement after Rwanda was confirmed as the host nation for three of the qualifying groups’ A, B, and D over the weekend with group D housing Rwanda, Nigeria, Mali, and Algeria.
Ogoh speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the qualification group is a familiar terrain to Nigeria having played Mali and Rwanda a couple of times with Algeria representing the only unknown team. He thereafter added that the D’Tigers won’t take anything for granted in the race for qualification.
