Agbim eulogises Keshi’s homebased legacy five years after Big boss’ demise

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim has eulogised the home based legacy of late coach Stephen Keshi in the national team five years on following his demise from the world to the great beyond.

Agbim who rose to prominence among the many homebased professionals in the Super Eagles under the stewardship of the former national team handler stressed that things haven’t been the same for homebased players in Nigeria with regards to been handed level playing ground to stake claims for opportunities in the national team of Nigeria.

He revealed that Keshi’s rememberance draws tears from him any time he reflects on the stint of the big boss with the national team with an AFCON triumph and a third place finish at the CHAN and a round of 16 appearance at the world cup in 2014.

“I always remember him, this is 5 years ago and after that no home based have had that privilege after Stephen Keshi to be in the national team so I think that is one thing you should remember him for. He gave every homebased privilege to be in the national team and after that no homebased have been in the national team for now. So I’ll always remember him for that and I weep every time I remember that he is gone because he gave every homebased that opportunity.”
