Rivers united forward and goal threat Godwin Aguda has expressed delight following his side’s 2-0 victory against the Celtics at Bloemfontein in the first round first leg CAF Confederation cup cup Wednesday evening in South Africa.
Aguda who scored his third goal of the competition in three games told brila.net that the victory was one they worked so hard for and deserves to get.
He stressed that it was a great experience for the team to have achieved their sole aim of wining in South Africa ahead of the return leg in Porthacourt, Nigeria.
“It was a nice game and I will start by saying I give glory to God for the victory because we worked for it, we prayed for it and did everything necessary or this victory and our purpose why we are here was accomplished and I am also excited scoring my third goal in the third match in the CAF Confederation cup.”
