Rivers united forward Godwin Aguda says he is grateful to God after a tricky 2-0 shoot out win on Sunday against Equitorial Guinea side Futuro Kings to secure qualification to the first round of the CAF Confederation cup following a 3 -3 aggregate scoreline.
Aguda who opened the scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 full-time win for his second of the competition told brila.net that it was a game that turned out harder than expected but remains very glad his side got the luck of the day in the shoot out session with the visiting side missing all four taken kick from the penalty spot.
Rivers next face South Africa side Bloemfontein Celtic in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
