Rising from the first Executive Meeting of the Confederation of Africa under the leadership of Ahmad Ahmad, the governing body’s top echelon has announced new appointments including Kwesi Nyantaki as 1st Vice President and Amaju Pinnick as Afcon and Media Committees of CAF.
Both Nyantaki and Amaju were trusted allies of Ahmad in the build up to the most keenly contested CAF election in its 60-years existence.

The Exco Meeting was held in Manama the capital city of Bahrain and not Cairo the seat of Caf‘s headquarters.
Bahrain is hosting the AFC Congress on Monday and will host Confederation meetings/Congresses on 10 May, FIFA Council meeting on Tuesday 9 May as well as the 67th FIFA Congress through 10-11 May.
Other major appointments made include naming SAFA President Danny Jordaan as the new Chair of CAF Marketing & TV Committee. He is also vice-Chair of Club Licensing Committee.

In keeping up with his campaign promise to ensure that ex-players are actively involved in football development on the continent, Ahmad facilitated the appointment of former France Football Award winner and Zambian football legend, Kalusha Bwalya as Chairman of the CAF Technical and Development committee.
