Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa watched his club Sivasspor suffered an embarrassing second leg 1-4 defeat to Fiorentina at home.
The experienced winger was left on the bench for the entire minutes, despite Sivasspor toothless in the attack all night.
The former CSKA Moscow and Leicester City man hasn’t enjoyed enough playing this season, with coach Rıza Çalımbay has little or no faith in him.
Musa has played just 15 games (although most as a substitute) in Turkish Super Lig for Sivasspor, with total of 335 minutes under his belt, but still waiting for his first goal of the season.
Before their exit from the tournament, Musa made just three appearances in this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League, starting all the game from bench, with total of 88 minutes.
Despite his limited playing time, he is among the 24 players invited by national team coach Jose Peseiro for upcoming CAF African Cup doubleheader against Guinea Bissau.
