Aigbogun laments friendly matches cancellation

Paul Aigbogun is confident that his team will do well at the Africa CAF U-20 championship in Niamey next month despite the cancellation of the proposed international friendly matches against Saudi Araba, Egypt and Tunisia.

Although Aigbogun wasn’t ple with cancellation of the friendly matches because he might have no further chance to correct the lapses in the team before the tournament in February.

While speaking to press on the readiness of the team for the team for the championship, The former Enyimba coach said his boys are motivated to show the world what they are capable of doing.

 

 

He added, that the team has shrugged off the disappointment of the cancellation friendly games and are turning up for training in high spirit.

 

“You should know that the boys want to market themselves and get good offers abroad and some who are playing overseas now want to move to a better club. This championship is important to everybody and to me especially because I want to win it and qualify for world cup. I have no fear because I know my boys are battle ready,” said Aigbogun.

The team will depart Nigeria for Niamey next week for the 15 day tournament.
