Super Eagles players Ola Aina and Cyriel Dessers were in action for Torino and Cremonese respectively in the Italian Calcio game on Saturday.
The duo started the game and were impressive, but it was Aina who came on top after 90 minutes minutes.
Cremonese played host to Torino, who were aiming to maintain their perfect start, while the PHD students continue their search for a first win of the season.
Torino started brightly and deservedly went ahead after 17 minutes, a perfect finish from Nikola Vlasic gave Il Toro the lead.
The visitors doubled their lead six minutes after the hour mark when Nemanja Radonjic smashed another effort into the back of the net.
However, Cremonese reduced the deficit with ten minutes left to play, when Leonardo Sernicola scored a beautiful first-time curler on the half-volley from Cyriel Dessers’ assist.
Sernicola’s goal brought Cremonese back to life, but it wasn’t enough as they failed break Torino’s resistance for an equalizer.
Torino have now won two and drew one from their opening three games, while Cremonese continue to wait for their first point of the season.
