Ola Aina could actually leave Torino this summer, with the Italian Serie A club already planning to bring in some new full-backs ahead of the 2020/21 season.
According to a report on Calciomercato, the Maroons have started negotiation with Napoli over the signing of Albania international Elseid Hysaj who can play both as a left and right defender like Aina.
And with Lorenzo De Silvestri still at the club, it appears Aina may go down the pecking order as far as the fullback position is concerned.
The Nigeria international joined Torino on a permanent deal from Chelsea last summer after initially impressing on loan.
He found it difficult to get regular playing time in the 2019/20 Serie A season – starting only eight games for the Stadio Olimpico outfit.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Everton and Westham believed to be monitoring his situation.
Aina has three more years left on his current deal with Torino and is valued at 8 million euros by transfer market experts.
