Pillars midfielder Ikenna Paul says the entire team was to blame for Wednesday’s Aiteo Cup Final second half capitulation that saw them throw away a 3-0 lead.
Rangers fought their way into the contest at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, after initially going 3-0 down. They forced a penalty and snatch the win from the grips of Pillars and Ikenna said the players felt they let themselves down.
In a chat with Brila.net the midfielder expressed disappointment at the outcome of the match because, besides missing out on a silverware this season, they also blew the chance of a ticket for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
