Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi says he’s delighted and proud to be named CAF Champions League player of the week.
Ajayi was named as the most outstanding player in the competition following his impressive performance for his club Al Ahly against Al Mereikh of Sudan, last week.
The Super Eagles striker recorded an assist as the holders defeated Sudanese giants 3-0 in their first group phase game played at Caira international stadium.

Ajayi who scored the decisive penalty to help Al Ahly finish third in just concluded FIFA World Club Club is expected to be in action again on Tuesday when they take on Simba SC of Tanzania in the second group game.
