Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi was on target for West Bromwich Albion against Swansea on Monday.
Ajayi got his goal on the 52nd minute, restoring West Brom’s lead, after Luke Cundle had cancelled out Okay Yokuslu’s opener for the Baggies.
The goal however was not enough to earn the Baggies a point as Swansea City ran out 3-2 winners, with further goals from Ntcham Drew and Joel Piroe.
The defeat however ended West Brom’s hope of getting into play off to the Premier League.
Despite the disappointment, it was still a remarkable season for Ajayi and his teammates as they fought hard to turn around their season, finishing the ninth on the log.
They were second from bottom of the Championship table when Carlos Corberan succeeded Steve Bruce in October.
