Plateau United’s Goalkeeper, Oladele Munir Ajiboye has declared his readiness to fight for a spot in the final Super Eagles’ 23-man squad heading to the World Cup in Russia next month.

Speaking to brila.net‘s Anthony Bekederemo on Players Scorecard, the former Under-17 World Champion said he never expected to see his name on the provisional squad list.

According to the Plateau United shot-stopper, Having his name on the provisional 30-man squad means anything can happen and with God, he is hopeful of making the final cut.

While responding to questions on the battle for three places amongst four outstanding Goalkeepers, Ik. Ezenwa,  Dele Ajiboye, Francis Uzoho and Chippa United’s Dan Akpeyi.

Ajboye said he is ready to fight for his place in the squad, and he is under no pressure whatsoever.

The Plateau United goalie also confirmed to brila.net that he is already set to join the team’s camp today.

Ajiboye was the second Choice to Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the CHAN tournament hosted by Morocco earlier in the year when he was between the sticks during the Semifinal and the finals against eventual winners, Morocco.
