Nkechi Akashili has been named in the final 12 player roster by Hughley Otis for the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
Akashili, who is also the only home based player in the team, was initially not in contention for a place in the D’Tigress party to Spain according to NBBF sources.
The list was announced on Wednesday, three days before the tip off of the World championship and Nigeria’s against first group A game against Australia’s Opals.
