Nigerian duo of Uche Ikpeazu and Adebayo Akinfenwa was on target for Wycombe in their Skybet Championship win over Bristol City.
The 2-1 victory helped the Chairboys keep their hope of beating relegation back to the league one alive.
Bristol City went in front when Adam Nagy played a cut-back pass to the path of Tyreeq Bakinson, who unleashed a ferocious shot that flew to the top-left corner from 25 yards.
Uche Ikpeazu then equalized for Wycombe after he escaped from his marker to divert Anis Mehmeti’s deep cross in the net.
Akinfenwa almost scored the second minutes later after holding off his marker with a fine turn and shoot but he made a save at full stretch.
The veteran forward kept his cool moments later to score a penalty that gave his side the win.
It was Akinfenwa’s first goal of the season and it was enough to push the team to six points from safety.
