First vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation Barrister Seyi Akinwumi has revealed that no mandate will be handed to the Beach soccer national team but has charged members of the Super sand Eagles to simply focus on doing well for Nigeria.
Akinwumi in a chat with www.brila.net said the NFF have been talking to the players to relish the opportunity of playing at the world cup once again and be rest assured that the team will not be neglected despite the late rush in preparation.
“For Nigerians we really need to believe in our team, we have always defy the odds and you know the camp that they are in is where they were when they played the African championship in Lagos. For the team no mandate, we just want them to keep working hard, just go there and do your best and leave the rest. ”
The beach soccer world cup kick starts later this month on April 27th and will run through till May 7th 2017. Nigeria are in Group B and will be locking horns with Italy, Iran and Mexico in the group stage.
