The trio of Chinonso Offor Nnamdi, Joshua Akpudje, and Idowu Akintola was on parade for Daugavpils in their impressive win over FA Metta on Monday.
Offor was the hero, as he scored a brace to help Daugavpils thrashed FS Metta 4 – 2 in Latvian Virsliga encounter.
The 20-year-old Offor has now scored three goals and one assist in four matches this season.
Meanwhile, the game ended in a nightmare for teammate Akpudje as he received a red card in the 34th minute of the game.
Akpudje, 21, who was one of the best defenders in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) before moving to Latvia has bagged his first professional red card of his career.
The former MFM of Lagos defender will now sit out of their next game.
The third Nigerian on the payroll of the Daugavpils, Akintola saw action for 90 minutes.
Daugavpils are now third on the table with six-point out of four matches played, they are one point behind Alampasu’s Ventspils who occupied the second spot.
