Akpudje wants dream move to the English Premier League

BFC Daugavpils center back Joshua Akpudje said his dream is to play in the English Premier league and possibly for Manchester United.

Akpudje has been a revelation since moving to the Latvian Virsliga last year from NPFL side MFM FC.

The 22-year-old played a prominent role in BFC Daugavpils’ success last season and was tipped to make a move to a bigger league in the future.

In an interview with BCOS TV monitored by brila.net, the defender said he’s happy with his progress, but his next goal is a move to Belgium, before testing himself in English Premier League.

” I’m playing for the best side in Latvian League but my next goal is to move to Belgium. However, my dream club is Manchester United but I need to work on my lapses before moving to England,” He said.

On the international scene, Akpudje is yet to make his Super Eagles debut, but he’s confident about his chances.

” My dream is to play for the senior national team, so I’m looking forward to an invitation in the Super Eagles camp,” he concluded.

Meanwhile Akpudje’s solitary appearance for Nigeria came in the colours of the U 23 football team against Libya in 2019.
